Spearhead- Home (1994)

Here's a cool album from the mid-90's. Fronted by Michael Franti, Spearhead is a combination of hip-hop and funk with plenty of live instrumentation which gives it a sound of it's own. Very much in the same vein as The Roots. Michael Franti is definitely a conscious hip-hop vocalist/ singer. If you're looking for something a bit different with a very good good core of music and lyrics then this is definitely suited for you. If you've never heard this before then you should definitely give this a listen. Enjoy!!!!
