O.G. Funk- Out Of The Dark (1993)

Here's another Bill Laswell classic! This one features that Funkadelic sound upgraded just a bit and bit more loose. The album features vocals from Melle Mel and Whipper Whip as well so it makes for a pretty cool album. The album ventures into territory later more thoroughly explored on other Laswell projects such as Praxis. This definitely will not be for everyone but if you like a bit funk mixed with metal and hip-hop and have heard and enjoyed other Bill Laswell releases, then you'll probably be enjoying this one. I started out my listening career with the likes of Kiss, Ratt, Motley Crue, Helix and 80's pop so I always will have a spot in my heart for some intense guitar riffs and crazy drum solos. I hope some of you will enjoy this album!!!
