Daddy-O- You Can Be A Daddy, But Never Daddy-O (1993)

This is the only solo effort from the Stetsasonic frontman. The album didn't generate too much hype when it came out and only ended up producing one minor hit, "Brooklyn Bounce". The album is actually better than the response it got back in the day. That is often the case with albums that weren't hits. A lot of good music got missed and I think this album falls into that category. The songs may not be outstanding but they are still pretty good and could easily stomp all over anything you're hearing from the current hip-hop chart toppers. Ever since I bought this album back in 1993 or 1994, I've always enjoyed the title track which features the much slept on, YZ. "Flowin in File" was also a 12" and it's pretty good. The rest of the album features some very listenable and enjoyable tracks from the Stetsa legend. Enjoy!!!!
