Rules of Enragement- Lewis Black (2003)

This album starts off with probably my favourite bit. His Minnesota winter thing really hits home with me cause where I live, it can get very cold. Usually the coldest day is in the range of -35 to -40 Celsius (-31 to -40 Fahrenheit). Then add the wind chill on top of that. So his ranting about the cold winters of Minnesota is something I can appreciate. However when it comes down to it, we're still on average colder than they are. There is no such thing as a no work day or no school day regardless of how much it snows or how cold it gets. The only day off school I had in my years was in elementary school when it topped 40 Celsius (104 Fahrenheit) and since we didn't have AC in most of the school, they had us go home a few hours early.

Back to the album. He has a great bit on air travel for those of us who have been on those long haul flights. It's really hard to deal with those 10+ hour flights. He also touches on the Iraq War, one of his many routines on the subject. His routine on Homeland Security is killer as well. Just a great album overall. I just can't get enough of his rage based comedy cause it's exactly the way I think and react to what I see and hear. I'd like add some extra discussion to my blog but I think it would detract from the great material that is available for download. I may have to create a new blog just with my opinions and random thoughts. Stay tuned for further developments. For now though, enjoy this album and let the rage flow through you.
